"Gunning For It!!"
Having settled on the Gold Coast, finding decent eateries was on the 'menu'. The Shogun came to our attention, so with wallet in hand we set off in intrepidation for our culanary feast to come. Wow! we were not disappointed. Good service, good menu & good food all reasonably priced. We've have friends over from the old lands & always make a point to visit The Shogun for a fun filled night out with great dining. Always wise to book in advance as it's popularity outdoes itself! …

I had a small wedding reception at Flames in Feb and cannot rate this restaurant highly enough. The meals were absolutly beautiful. From the entree's to the desserts they were cooked to perfection. Every guest commented on how delicious the food was. Service was perfect, nothing was too much hassle. The atomosphere was warm, inviting and relaxing. My husband and I went back while we were on the Gold Coast for another meal and experienced the exact same indulgence. I only wish this place was in Geelong where we live. I reccommend Flames on the River to everyone! BTW Very good value. …
